Abu Bakr ibn ‘Ayyaash رحمه الله said:

I prayed [the] Maghrib [prayer] behind Fudhayl ibn ‘Iyaadh رحمه الله, with his son ‘Ali at my side. He (Fudhayl) recited:

{Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you} at-Takaathur 102:1

…and when he recited [the verse]:

{You will surely see the Hellfire} [102:6]

…‘Ali [was overcome and] fell unconscious – on his face.
