He was overcome with tears

Muhammad ibn Naajiyah رحمه الله said:

I prayed the Fajr prayer behind al-Fudhayl ibn ‘Iyaadh رحمه الله, and he recited:

{The Inevitable Reality} al-Haaqqah 69:1

So when he reached the aayah:

{[Allaah will say], “Seize him and shackle him”} al-Haaqqah 69:30

…he was overcome with tears, and [then] his son ‘Ali [too was overcome and] fell unconscious.
