He was overcome with tears

Muhammad ibn Naajiyah said:

I prayed the Fajr prayer behind al-Fudhayl ibn ‘Iyaadh, and he recited:

{The Inevitable Reality} [- soorah al-Haaqqah].

So when he reached the aayah:

{[Allaah will say], “Seize him and shackle him”} [- aayah 30]

…he was overcome with tears, and [then] his son ‘Ali [too was overcome and] fell unconscious.
