Question: What are the means to steadfastness upon the religion during the time of trials and tribulations?

Response: Hold firm to the Book and the Sunnah, and [maintain] companionship with the people of truth.

Companionship with the people of truth and sitting in their company, and asking (seeking guidance from) the scholars; yes.
