Arabic Language Book 3

Arabic Language Book 3 is the third volume in Dr. V. ‘Abdur-Raheem’s Lessons in Arabic Language series, continuing the progression through vocabulary, grammar, and sentence construction established in the first two books. It is produced by the Islaamic University of Madeenah for non-native speakers advancing through the course.

At this stage, students are expected to be reading and constructing more elaborate Arabic sentences, with the lessons continuing to be taught entirely in Arabic rather than through translation. As with the earlier books, a firm grasp of the preceding material is expected before beginning here, since each stage builds directly on what came before.

It is with deep sorrow that we note the passing of the author, Shaykh Dr. V. ‘Abdur-Raheem, in October 2023. May Allaah ﷻ reward him abundantly for his service to Islaam and accept this work as an ongoing benefit for the many students who have learned from it.

Two sets of personal study notes are available alongside this book: one prepared by Abu ‘Abdullaah and one by Zahid Naeem, each offering practical clarifications for points that students commonly find difficult.

The series begins with the first book, continues with the second book, and concludes with the fourth and final book. All resources are available via marabic.com.
