Question: Some people have doubts in the [Umma al-Quraa] calendar, and say it has additions, and others say it is incomplete; we want your guidance [on this matter]?

Response: Do not pay [any] attention to the speech of these [people]; [their speech] is nothing but conjecture of the unseen, while [in reality] they do not know. The Umm al-Quraa calendar has been authorised, and is in general use in [all] the masaajid and the Government offices. It has been authorised by the Government, so the calendar is a [well] regarded and should be relied upon.
