Died at a young age and had not done hajj or ‘umrah
My brother died at the age of 35, and he had not performed hajj. Should I perform ‘umrah or hajj on his behalf – even though he had not done so?

Regarding ‘umrah badal on behalf of the deceased
Some of the scholars say that the Prophet ﷺ granted permission for the hajj to be performed on behalf of the deceased – without [specifically mentioning] the ‘umrah.

[Regarding] the ‘umrah, is it permissible to do so on behalf of another if the person is unable [to do so himself] due to an illness?
