On the occasion of the new Hijree year
In the name of Allaah, All Gracious, All Merciful. All Praise is due to Allaah [alone], Lord of the worlds.
To those who are preoccupied with the life of this world
[Could you offer] a word of guidance to those who are overly concerned [and preoccupied] with gathering wealth, and [in doing so] overlook [preparing for] the Hereafter?
Your appointed time is approaching
The truth is that a happy life is not [attained] with an abundance of wealth, nor an abundance of sustenance, nor superficially nice appearances – which in reality are not-so-nice.
