Do we love the Prophet ﷺ more than they did?
I say that celebrating the birthday of the Prophet ﷺ was not [something] known [to have been practiced] by the righteous predecessors.
Then he is lying in his love for the Messenger ﷺ
As for the one who claims that he loves the Messenger ﷺ, and then he does not follow him, or that he introduces an innovation and thinks that he loves the Messenger while he introduces an innovation…
Celebrating the birthday of the Prophet ﷺ
By Allaah! If Ahlus-Sunnah knew their beloved [Prophet] ﷺ loved his birthday [to] be celebrated, none would have preceded them in it; they would celebrate it every day!
A person of innovation
I have never debated anyone wishing for them to make a mistake, except for a person of innovation, for I wished that his [true] nature be exposed to the people.
Celebrating the 15th night of Sha’baan
And so on the night of the 15th of Sha’baan, some people celebrate it, [and] some people pray it in the masaajid, [and] some people gather [together] in the homes, [and] some people do [other] things…
Ahlul-Bid’ah are like a disease
We keep away from the innovators [ مبتدعة ] and shun them until they abandon their innovation, so that they do not influence their companions.
The passing away of the Scholars
When the scholars pass away, evil and discord prevail. He ﷺ said
A tear of the Scholar
And the people of knowledge are well known; not everyone who has a certificate [becomes a scholar], [nor he who] has graduated from a [university] faculty or…not everyone who has memorised…
Exchanging congratulatory messages and good wishes for the new Hijree year
Every year, at the end of the Hijree year – at the conclusion of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, they enjoin certain acts of remembrance and worship.
