Do not convey to your friend that which will hurt him and not benefit him to know, [for indeed] this is the act of the despicable.

The story of the disbeliever who wanted to kill the Prophet ﷺ
Once, the Prophet ﷺ was returning home from a battle, and when they reached a [suitable] place, they stopped to rest.
The love of Allaah
We observed, and did not find anything better to delight the believer than the love of Allaah عز و جل, and seeking His Pleasure.
Illumination for the heart
Some of the Salaf would say: ‘The darkness of the night is illumination for the heart.’ That is, the hidden acts of worship [done] at night, [such as] the night prayer, [engaging in] supplication…
The right of Allaah upon you is greater

Allaah will replace it with something better
Verily, you will never leave anything for the sake of Allaah عز و جل except that Allaah will replace it with something better.

Preoccupied with regret
Being preoccupied with regret over time which has [since] passed is a waste of the present time.

al-Khaleel* [was of a disposition that] if he [was a cause of] benefit [to] someone with something, [then] he would not see it that he had benefitted him.
