Parents don’t want to make hijrah, but I do
So, [regarding] the one who wants to make hijrah from a non-Muslim country [to a Muslim country], how can he combine between protecting his religion, his [wife and] children as well as being dutiful to his parents?
Be prompt in repenting for your sins
[So] how pitiful is the one who is prevented from goodness in his old age for sins committed during [his] youth!
Supplication for the parents
The supplication you make for your parents during the taraaweeh or tahajjud prayer is better by far than you slaughtering 10 camels [in their names].
Hiring someone trustworthy to do hajj badal and ‘umrah badal
My mother died whilst I was young, and so I hired someone trustworthy to perform hajj on her behalf. My father had also died, and I heard from some of my relatives that he himself had performed the hajj.
