This Sunnah has been abandoned such that the people become surprised with the supplication for the Rulers…
So you will find the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (may Allaah protect and preserve him) – every week he meets with the scholars…
It is not from [the etiquettes of] giving advice to spread the faults and shortcomings of the leaders, since that fills the hearts with anger and hate towards the [established and recognised] leaders.
And those of sound intellect should ponder at the [current] state of the world and reflect [on this].
I advise you not to visit the rulers, and watch what you eat, [so you are certain] it is not haraam.
