Whoever walks in front of his father, then he has disobeyed him, unless he walked [ahead] to remove [any] harm from his path.

The days are of two types
The days are [of] two [types]: A 'good' day, so be thankful [to Allaah for it]; and a 'bad' day, so be patient [until Allaah eases your hardship and relieves you of your burden].
You will regret the time that you have wasted
It is befitting for the student of knowledge to protect and preserve his time, because [sometime] in the future he will [reflect over this and] regret the time he has wasted.
We are all sinful
We are all sinful, and we wash our hearts [of them] with the 'soap' of repentance. Translator's note:
The Prophet ﷺ said:
When a slave commits a sin, a black spot appears on his heart.
I feel shy towards them
I sent a message to a dear friend of mine: 'Any chance of a call?' So he responded
Tire your feet, and do not tire your tongue
May Allaah have mercy upon my mother, and all of our parents. She would often mention this saying: 'Tire your feet, and do not tire your tongue.'* *The meaning of which is

Lazy people
The lazy ones are the most distressed, depressed and saddest of the people; they experience no joy nor pleasure.
That which we have witnessed
That which we have witnessed - as have others [too] - and have come to know by experience is that when music and musical instruments were adopted by the people and they spread [amongst them] and...
At the service of the Prophet ﷺ
When observing the case of 'Aa.ishah رضي الله عنها, it's difficult [to comprehend] that she delayed making-up the [missed] fasts [of the previous Ramadhaan] until Sha'baan.
