Shaykh al-Albaanee said:

This reminds me of a funny story [circulating] in some of the schools in Damascus, [where] one of the famous Christian teachers was talking about the [da’wah] activities of Muhammad ibn ‘Abdil-Wahhaab and his struggle against shirk, bid’ah and superstitions, and it appeared that he praised [his efforts]. So some of his students [jokingly] said: ‘it appears the teacher is a Wahhaabi!’
