Just one more Ramadhaan
During the time of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ there were two brothers who embraced Islaam together.
Remain steadfast and pursue the path
Some students of knowledge have a weakness [in their ability] to memorise, and the weakness may be severe.
A warning against being preoccupied with the faults of others
From the people are those who preoccupy themselves with the faults of others, and forget their own faults.
Beware of sudden death
Towards the end of time – and pay attention to this – [towards] the end of time, sudden death will increase.
A sound heart
…and the shortest of paths to Paradise is soundness* of the heart.
These words are beyond the level of originality
The speed of someone hastening [towards something] is based upon the size of the goal. So in seeking sustenance, [Allaah] says
Created for hadeeth
In this world, Abu Daawood was created for [the knowledge of] hadeeth, and [as] for the Hereafter, [he was created] for Paradise [إن شاء الله].
The path to Paradise
I have not seen a man more knowledgeable of the path to Paradise than al-Hasan [al-Basree].
For abundant prayer
I saw Yazeed ibn Zuray’ in a dream, so I said to him: ‘What did Allaah do with you?’
He replied: ‘He admitted me into Paradise.’
