Is the death of the scholars, and the passing away of the righteous [ones considered] from [amongst] the signs of the end of time and the [Last] Hour?
When the scholars pass away, evil and discord prevail. He ﷺ said
He says, noble Shaykh – may Allaah grant you success – when one of the senior scholars passes away, some of the operators of satellite TV channels who intend good, resort to filming the place where…
And the people of knowledge are well known; not everyone who has a certificate [becomes a scholar], [nor he who] has graduated from a [university] faculty or…not everyone who has memorised…
Even from a scholarly perspective – even from an academic standpoint – we say to the youth who are not qualified to take the lead [in religious matters], we say
And what benefit are many books with the loss of the scholars? [Merely] having books is not enough. The children of Israel perished whilst they had the Torah and the Bible.
My advice to every student of knowledge in every country is to fear Allaah, and remember [the hadeeth of the Prophet ﷺ]
[When] I am in some gatherings, there are some people who are influenced by some of the misguided callers [to Islaam] – whom the scholars have warned against.
