إذا وقع الوباء في أرض فلا يجوز للمسلمين أن يقدموا إلى هذه البلاد الموبوءة، ومن كان فيها فلا يجوز له أن يخرج منها،وهذا ما يسمَّى الآن بالحجر الصحي، وهو منهج إلهي من أجل وقاية العباد من انتشار الأوبئة والأمراض والمحاصرة لها في مكانها، إلى أن يرفعها الله سبحانه وتعالى.— الشيخ صالح الفوزان (@salihalfawzan) March 23, 2020
Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan said:
If an epidemic occurs in a[ny] land, then it is not permissible for the Muslims to travel to those contaminated lands, and whoever is [already] there, then it is not permissible for them to leave [those affected lands].
And this is what is referred to now as quarantining, and this is a divine approach in order to protect the people from the spread of epidemics and diseases, and to restrict them to where they are until such time Allaah سبحانه و تعالى removes them [from wherever they have spread to].
