Question: In your opinion, what is the Sharee’ah ruling regarding life insurance?
Response: Insurance in all its forms is not permissible, [just as] business insurance in all its forms is [also] not permissible, because it is [a form of] falsely acquiring wealth – about which the Council of Senior Scholars have issued [their] decision of its prohibition.
