We observed, and did not find anything better to delight the believer than the love of Allaah عز و جل, and seeking His Pleasure.
Using Soorah al-Faatihah as a treatment
If the worshipper became proficient in using [Soorah] al-Faatihah as a treatment, [then by the permission of Allaah] he would indeed see its amazing effect in healing.
Even if he possessed the entire world
It is not befitting for the one who understands the Qur.aan and what it contains of halaal and haraam, and thereby acts accordingly, to [then] view anyone more wealthier than him - even if he...
Most of the sins are borne of...
Most of the sins are borne of idle speech and looking [at that which is prohibited], and these [two] are the broadest of the paths of entry for Shaytaan [to come play mischief with you].
Illumination for the heart
Some of the Salaf would say: 'The darkness of the night is illumination for the heart.' That is, the hidden acts of worship [done] at night, [such as] the night prayer, [engaging in] supplication...
The right of Allaah upon you is greater
Do not look in vain at your hard work [in doing righteous deeds], for [indeed] the right of Allaah upon you [that He alone be worshiped] is greater [than that].
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen advises
Crowd the people of falsehood on the internet [to respond to their falsehood with sound knowledge], so the truth can be made clear [to everyone].
Leave that which preoccupies you away from Allaah
Abu Sulaymaan ad-Daaraanee رحمه الله said about asceticism (zuhd): 'It is to leave that which preoccupies you [away] from Allaah.'
