Response: [Regarding] the i’tikaaf, there is no specified [length of] time.
[There is] no limit to how short it is, and nor [is there] a limit to how long it is.
Even if he intends to perform i’tikaaf for a night, or a day, or [some] hours – then he can do so.
That is because no limit for it has been stipulated by Allaah [or His Messenger].
Importantly, it is usually referred to as i’tikaaf.
