Khusayf said:
The most knowledgeable of them [with regard to matters] about the Qur.aan was Mujaahid.
And the most knowledgeable of them [with regard to matters] about hajj was ‘Ataa.
And the most knowledgeable of them [with regard to matters] about halaal and haraam was Taawoos.
And the most knowledgeable of them [with regard to matters] about divorce was Sa’eed ibn al-Musayyib.
And the one whose knowledge most encompassed all of these matters was Sa’eed ibn Jubayr.
