Question: He is asking, noble Shaykh, about the deeds by which he can honour her with after her death. What are the deeds by which it is possible for children to honour their parents with after they have died?

Response: All righteous deeds which, if accepted by Allaah, will [certainly] benefit the deceased; and the most important of them being supplication, [as in the hadeeth]:

«…or a righteous child who supplicates for him (the deceased)» – Sunan Ibn Maajah, no.237. Authenticated by al-Albaanee.

…[in addition to] charity on her behalf, [as well as performing] hajj and ‘umrah on her behalf.

– [so] all of these will benefit her.

[Regarding] all righteous deeds, if [an intention is made to] gift their reward to the deceased, then they will [certainly] benefit them – with the Permission of Allaah.

Yes.
