سُئل أحدُ السلَف :
ألا يضيقُ صدرك مِن تجاهل
معروفك مِن قِبل الذين تُحسنُ إليهم ؟
فأجاب : يكفيني قوله تعالى :

One of the Salaf was asked:
Does your chest not tighten when the good you do is ignored by those you treat kindly?
He responded:
Sufficient for me is His saying:
{and do good; indeed Allaah loves the doers of good} – soorah al-Baqarah, aayah 195
