Divide the night into three parts

Sufyaan رحمه الله said:

‘Amru ibn Deenaar used to divide the night into three parts:

• a third [in which] he would sleep;

• a third [in which] he would study hadeeth;

• and a third [in which] he would do salaah [pray].
