Question: When should one, intending Hajj or ‘Umrah and travelling by air, enter the state of ihraam?

Response: The traveller either by air or sea should enter the state of ihraam when the meeqaat is approaching. For example, the traveller, when approaching the meeqaat either from air or the sea, should enter the state of ihraam just before {they approach the meeqaat] by a little, out of precaution for the speed of the airplane, ship or steamer.
