Question: We see many people who only pray during Ramadhaan, and when Ramadhaan ends, they abandon the masaajid. So what do you say to these people [O] noble Shaykh, and may Allaah reward you with good?
Response: This is an error in [their] understanding.
So O you Muslims, it is befitting for you to maintain your prayers during Ramadhaan and in other than Ramadhaan. And if you were maintaining them during Ramadhaan – knowing they were a [fundamental] obligation of the religion, then you are required to continue upon [maintaining] this obligation [after Ramadhaan passes]. So let Ramadhaan be the cause for your rectification, and for you to continue upon that which is good. So maintain all your noble deeds, and do not be from amongst those who do good, and then follow it up with bad.
