I am a young man who works, and I give my father my salary – even though my father always [verbally] abuses me, and accuses me of falling short in honouring him by hiding some of my salary and [instead] give it to my wife.

What is the ruling about working with someone whose sustenance is from prohibited wealth? And what is the ruling of eating [from the provision] of this person at gatherings?
Smoking whilst fasting
Since smoking is not [considered as] food or drink, and nor does it reach the stomach, then is it [considered to be] that which breaks the fast?
The caring employer
“I am more entitled than him; I will give you what you need.”
Even if it were once during his lifetime
It is befitting for the person to act upon this aayah, even if it were once [during his lifetime]; [so] if something from his wealth pleases him and causes him to delight, then let him give it in charity, and maybe he will attain this Birr.
