Shaykh Dr. ‘Aasim al-Qaryooti said:
Don’t rejoice at people’s praise for you, rather ask Allaah if indeed this is true that He increases you from His Bounty and makes you better than what the people suspect of you, and to forgive you for that which they do not know about you.
