Question: Noble Shaykh – may Allaah protect and preserve you – I have a desire to seek Islaamic knowledge; I hope you can explain [to us] the correct manner of seeking Islaamic knowledge, and [may] Allaah grant you good?
Response: The manner of seeking Islaamic knowledge is clear; It is upon you to seek knowledge from the Salafee Scholars and beware of those from the [differing] movements, those of innovated methodologies. So if you [really] want the advice, then you should not approach them, rather, go to the people of knowledge who teach the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ and the correct Salafee ‘aqeedah and start with that which is the most important and then move on to that which is lesser in importance [in order].
