قال ابن تيمية -رحمه الله-:
(الناس ثلاثة أقسام:
إما أن يعترف بالحق ويتبعه فهذا صاحب الحكمة؛
وإما أن يعترف به؛ لكن لا يعمل به فهذا يوعظ حتى يعمل؛
وإما أن لا يعترف به فهذا يجادل بالتي هي أحسن)"مجموع الفتاوى" (2/45).

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
People are of three types:
Either he accepts the truth and adheres to it – then he is a wise person.
Or either he accepts the truth, but does not adhere to it, then he is to be advised so he acts [upon the truth].
Or either he does not accept the truth, then he is to be engaged in argument in a way that is best.
