زارني الليلة خريج عام ١٤٠١ فتذكرنا تلك الحقبة فذكر لي فتنة جهيمان وأن الشيخ محمد أمان رحمه الله وكان عميدا لكلية الحديث بالجامعة الإسلامية وأوصاه بلزوم الدراسة ولا يخض مع الخائضين فسلمه الله.

Shaykh Dr. ‘Aasim al-Qaryooti said:
A graduate from 1401AH visited me this evening, and we reminisced about that time.
He reminded me about the fitnah of Juhaymaan, and how Shaykh Muhammad Amaan al-Jaamee – who was the principal at the Faculty of Hadeeth at the Islaamic University of Madeenah – had advised him to [remain studious and] concentrate on his studies and not delve into this matter, and how [as a result] Allaah had protected him [from that fitnah].
So by the permission of Allaah, by returning to the scholars [for guidance] there is salvation from the fitan.
