Shaykh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez ibn Baaz advised:
Whoever protects his time [engaged] in the remembrance of Allaah, and the recitation of the Qur.aan, and the companionship of those who are good, and keeps away from the companionship of those who are negligent and bad, then [this will result in] his heart being pleasant and softened.
