Touching and seeking blessings from the kiswah

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said:

Touching and seeking blessings from the cover of the Ka’bah (kiswah) is an innovation; that is because there is nothing [authentically] reported from the Prophet ﷺ about that.
