Don’t curse him

Reference: Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa v4 p161

az-Zibruqaani رحمه الله said:

I was with Abu Waa.il Shaqeeq ibn Salamah رحمه الله, and I began cursing al-Hajjaaj and mentioning his misdeeds. He (Abu Waa.il) then said [to me]:

‘Don’t curse him. How do you know he hasn’t asked Allaah سبحانه و تعالى to forgive him, and He has [since] forgiven him.’
