Shaykh Ahmad al-Qar’aawee narrates:

Most of the time whilst he was walking [to or from the masjid] women would approach him, so he would stop for them and say to me: “Go and ask them what they want”; So I would go and find out what they wanted, whilst the Shaykh would remain standing. So if they wanted to seek a legal ruling, he would answer their questions, and if they sought charity, then the Shaykh would give me some money to pass on to them.
