Question: I work in the area of photographic images which are published in newspapers and booklets; To what extent is this profession permissible?

Response: There is no harm [in doing so] if there is religious benefit in it. If, however, there is no [religious] benefit in it, then it would be righteous and better of you to leave this job and seek another profession, or stipulate [to your employer] that you will not take pictures of living beings.
