Question: When the reciter [of the Qur.aan] places the mus.haf on the ground, and then prostrates, is there any harm in [doing] that?
Response: He should not put it on the ground, [rather] he should place it on his thigh, or place it on something in front of him, or a box in front of him; he must [keep] the mus.haf raised above the ground, and not place it on the floor.
