For the record:
After he finished working at al-Jaami’ah al-Islaamiyyah [in Madeenah], Saudi Arabia [continued to] pay al-‘Allaamah al-Albaanee a salary for the rest of his life.
Likewise [is the case with] Shaykh ‘Abdul-Qaadir al-Arnaa.oot.
And this was based upon a request Shaykh Sa’d al-Husayn submitted to Shaykh Ibn Baaz.
And their position [which they adopted] regarding the Gulf Crisis [of 1990-1991] had no [adverse] affect [in their relations], rather Saudi Arabia continued to pay them a salary for the duration of their lives.
