Question: Is it permissible for a person to perform tawaaf for his deceased parents or one of his relatives who are deceased?
Response: There is no harm for a man (person) to perform the hajj or the 'umrah on behalf of one of his parents or relatives. Likewise, there is no harm - in shaa.-Allaah - if he performed tawaaf [seven times around the Ka'bah], making the intention for its reward to [pass onto] one of his parents or relatives.
