Supplicating for the teacher

Question: What is the ruling regarding supplicating for a teacher who carries out her duties in the most complete [and praiseworthy] manner?

Response: Supplicating for her is [something] good, because she is someone who has done good [to others], and supplicating for those who have done good [to others] is something which is recommended.

However, if it is feared that supplicating in front of her will cause fitnah whereby the teacher may become big-headed, or begin to favour the student who has supplicated for her, then do not supplicate in front of her, rather supplicate so she does not hear.
