And [the question] is, we have people who say that ‘Abdullaah, rather, the father of Muhammad ﷺ – he is [destined] for the Fire; And [there are] people who say no, rather he is [destined] for Paradise because he is the father of the Prophet. [Please] benefit us [with a response and] may Allaah reward you with good.
So protect them upon the path of righteousness before they are lost to the paths of misguidance, and [in doing so] keep a watchful eye over them [to ensure they remain upon the path of righteousness], before you lose them.
And this supplication is among the most all-encompassing of supplications for [that which is] good.
{If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, “Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth]…}
It reached me that the Fire will not harm the area which has been touched by the tears [which flowed due to the fear of Allaah].
Beware of the supplications of the oppressed, for they ascend to Allaah as if they are sparks of fire.

I had a disagreement with a man, and we took the matter to court where he was asked to swear an oath [that he was telling the truth], but [in actual fact] he was lying. So what is the recompense for someone who swears an oath upon the Qur.aan based upon a lie?
If men mix freely with women, it is on the same level as mixing fire and firewood.
I accompanied Ibn ‘Umar (radhi-yAllaahu ‘anhumaa) for 34 months, and [during this time] whenever he was asked a question, he would respond with: I do not know. He then turned to me and said: Do you know what these [people] wanted, they wanted to use our backs as a bridge for themselves to Hell.
