So those who have [sound] knowledge of the religion of Allaah do not pay any attention to fitnah – even if the people created a drama [over it].

A cause of benefit to others
[And] there are some in our day and age [today] who are quite the opposite.

Supplication is the weapon of the strong and the weak
Supplication is the weapon of the strong and the weak, and it is from the delights of the Prophets and the sincere, and with it they seek [aid from Allaah] to ward off all harm.
No need to advise him, because he knows the ruling
What is the ruling if I see someone committing a sin, and I don’t advise him because he knows the ruling?
Humbling and belittling oneself
Yoosuf ibn al-Husayn was an imaam of his time. There was no-one from the scholars like him in terms of humbling and belittling himself.
Attaining the objective in the love of Allaah
If that which Allaah gives you and that which He denies you [appear] equal to you, then you have attained the objective in the love of Allaah.
The status of ‘Abdullaah Ibn al-Mubaarak
Allaah did not raise the status of [‘Abdullaah] Ibn al-Mubaarak except for the secret hoard [of his righteous deeds] he had.
Therein is iniquity
It used to be said: ‘For him whose secret hoard [of deeds] is superior to his open hoard [of deeds] – therein is much excellence; and for him whose secret hoard [of deeds] are worse than his open hoard [of deeds] – therein is iniquity.
A secret hoard of righteous deeds
They would yearn that a man [from amongst them] would have a secret hoard of righteous deeds that neither his wife nor any other would know about.
