Wearing clothing with images on them

Reference: Fataawa Noor ‘alad-Darb – Question No.5645, Page 94-95, Volume 11

Question: Is it permissible to wear clothes which have images printed on them, such as fish and birds?

Response: It is not permissible to wear anything which has an image [printed] on it, whether it is a thobe, [a pair of] trousers, a headscarf, a hat, a t-shirt or other than that. That is based upon what has been authentically reported from the Prophet ﷺ that the angels do not enter a house in which there are images[1].

Likewise, it is not permissible for a woman to wear jewellery in the shape of an animal, whether that animal is a bird, or a snake, or other than that; and this is based on the hadeeth which we have alluded to in which [it is mentioned that] angels do not enter a house in which there are images.
