By Allaah, were the hearts sound (pure), they would be saddened at missing out [from goodness to be attained]. How many are the hours which pass by us, and we are prevented from benefitting from them?

However, beneficial knowledge continues and does not cease; its benefit continues, and [likewise] the reward for the one who conveyed it…
Seize the opportunity of life, and draw closer to Allaah
So we should take advantage of our life – in obedience to Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’aala, because life is short, and time is passing [us by]. Time is [but] moments, not days, nor hours. Rather it is moments that pass by quickly.
Be prompt in repenting for your sins
[So] how pitiful is the one who is prevented from goodness in his old age for sins committed during [his] youth!
Always ask Allaah to make you blessed
It is befitting that a person always asks Allaah to make him blessed – wherever he may be…
Whoever protects his time
Whoever protects his time [engaged] in the remembrance of Allaah…
Illumination for the heart
The darkness of the night is illumination for the heart…
Supplication for the parents
The supplication you make for your parents during the taraaweeh or tahajjud prayer is better by far than you slaughtering 10 camels [in their names].
The importance of exercising patience
And the severity [of the trial] will come to an end, so do not prolong the calamity [by being impatient].
Seek repentance, regularly
It is not befitting for the believer to begin the day or the evening except in a state of repentance, for indeed he does not know when death may strike – [whether] in the morning or the evening.
