Allaah عز و جل says:
{And those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes…”} – soorah al-Furqaan, aayah 74
Ibn ‘Allaan said:
He [عز و جل] began with the wife, because in her [being upon] goodness, there is goodness for [her] offspring.
