‘Izzaddeen ibn ‘Abdis-Salaam رحمه الله said:

From the books of Islaam, I have not seen knowledge [content] of the likes of ‘al-Muhallaa’ of Ibn Hazm, and the book ‘al-Mughnee’ of Muwaffaq ad-Deen [Ibn Qudaamah].
