Shaykh as-Sa’dee’s daughter narrates:
My father رحمه الله was on the roof of the masjid repairing one of the drain pipes, when one of the passers by asked him:
“Why [are you fixing the drain pipe] O Shaykh?”
And he replied:
“We shall be doing the prayer for rain tomorrow.”
Shaykh as-Sa’dee’s daughter remarked:
And this was him presuming good of Allaah and his reliance upon Him.
