Restricting ties of brotherhood

Reference: Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa v4 p563

Rajaa ibn Haywah رحمه الله said:

Whoever restricts ties of brotherhood to only those without [any] fault[s], will have few friends.

And whoever is only happy when he has his friend to himself, will always be angry.

And whoever takes his brothers to account over every misdeed, will have many enemies.
